Departing from Jakobiec’s past exhibition of monochromatic works, this latest series is an unrestrained exploration of colour, texture and form.  Abstracted imagery is cleverly paired with Jakobiec’s distinctive expressionistic style, brimming with strong emotional intensity.  Her use of geometric forms is dominated by the painterly quality of the work.  The lushly textured surfaces of these paintings both blend and contrast a vibrant colour palette, creating a soothing and energized atmosphere.
