Ross Bonfanti was born in 1969, Toronto, Canada.  A graduate of Ontario College of Art and Design in 1997, Bonfanti has worked mainly with found objects and manufactured materials from the urban landscape. He incorporates traditional elements of drawing and painting within his assemblages to bring forth the disturbing, humourous and beautiful. Bonfanti is an active member of the Toronto art scene taking part in numerous projects such as Co-founder of Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts, AWOL Gallery and Studios and C1 Art Space. His work has been exhibited and represented by various galleries both in Canada and abroad as well as held in the national collection of the Art Bank of Canada Arts Council.
